Firstly, apologies that it has taken this long for me to share this post with you. The new wedding stationery collections have been online and available to order since 1st January, which I am pleased to see many of you have already taken a liking to! I have been so incredibly busy that my blog posts just haven’t had a look in so far this year. 2016 brides have definitely woken up and smelt the coffee which is keeping me nice and busy, so I really can’t complain!
A massive happy new year to you all! A little late I know, but better late than never right?!
So today I am showcasing my 5 new wedding stationery collections for 2016. I have been following the new wave of wedding stationery trends that are coming in for 2016 weddings and have drawn upon these for my new designs. I really hope you like them! As always, all of the designs can have colour amends and minor design changes made free of charge.
To help you visualise how the collections could be styled at a wedding I have created a mood board, collating lots of wedding pretties for each new design – enjoy!
Enchanted Woods
First up is ‘Enchanted Woods’. If you like flowers, but don’t love the idea of them dominating your wedding stationery try something in between. Woodland-themed weddings are a new trend on the scene in 2016. A subtle touch of floral with wood and wildlife can be used to give a real whimsical and enchanted feel to your big day.
The colours used in this design also happen to be very close to Pantones colour of the year ‘Rose Quartz & Serenity’, so this pretty colour combo is set to be very popular in this year.
Midnight Stars
As brides diverge from traditional venues and opt for more unconventional ones, outdoor lighting has become increasingly popular, which is becoming more and more evident in wedding stationery. String bulbs are one of the most admired options of this trend. The lighting is soft and subtle, enhancing the natural effects of the outdoors.
Christmas Wreath
This one is for those wishing to trade a summer wedding for a magical winter wedding. Think warm, rustic, and cosy. Rustic finishes in weddings have been big news for some time and they aren’t going anywhere in 2016. A christmas wedding is the perfect time to blend kraft paper textures and hessian fabrics mixed with winter foliage for a beautifully festive wedding stationery.
Botanical Garden
Botanical weddings are here to stay. Flowers are taking a back seat in 2016 with the focus on gorgeous greenery. Succulents and aromatic herbs like rosemary and mint are playing a big part in this popular wedding trend. If girly shades of pink and peach aren’t for you then keep it simple. Think rustic, leafy bouquets or green table garlands keeping the colour palette very neutral. Omit flowers altogether for a beautifully understated wedding theme.
Geometric Pastels
If bold floral patterns aren’t your bag then opt for understated patterns instead, from polka dots and muted stripes, to graphic shapes in perfect pastel palettes. Graphic shapes and patterns have never been so popular. Perfect for those looking for a more modern approach to their wedding stationery. Shying away from more fussy florals, the geometric trend is easy to incorporate into wedding styling with angular vases, decor and stationery.
So that’s my 5 new collections. I really hope you see something here that you like and find the mood boards inspirational. Please feel free to take a look at my whole range here I hope to be working with you soon. If you have any questions at all please contact me at info@heartinvites.com.
