Today I am so pleased to be sharing with you the Kent wedding of Andres and Farnoosh who married in June of this year at The Orangery in Maidstone with 2 wedding ceremonies! (A traditional English ceremony followed by a Persian ceremony).
I was first contacted by Farnoosh in March of this year with a very specific idea of what she and Andres wanted in their wedding stationery. Their theme was to be based around flowers and each wedding table would be identified by its own flower. In total there were 11 different flowers which I designed from scratch to keep the same design style of each flower throughout. The colour scheme was a mix of cream, sage green, blush pink and peach with several other pastel shades thrown in to break it up. The soft mixture of colours with a touch of lace resulted in a very pretty and elegant stationery set. Andres and Farnoosh ordered various matching items to keep the theme consistent throughout the wedding venue and giving the wedding day a strong sense of styling. I really enjoyed working on this stationery design and it’s lovely to see how it all came together on the day.
Here is a gorgeous collection of images taken by Mark Bothwell. Mark has captured all those beautiful finishing touches that Andres and Farnoosh added to their special day. I think you will agree, there is not much they didn’t think of! The decorative detail on this wedding is to be greatly admired. Enjoy and get inspired! :-)
1. What was the overall look and feel you wanted to achieve for your kent wedding?
We were keen to combine two different cultures (i.e. Persian and Latin, Indian) together but having a British wedding at the same time. We also wanted to have a rustic look but at the same time have an elegant and romantic feel for our wedding. We were keen for people to feel the romance and at the same time simplicity, nature, floral, beauty and warmth.
2. Why did you opt for professional stationery over DIY?
We knew we wouldn’t be able to achieve the look we were after by DIY. We knew a professional stationer could help us to opt for what we had in our mind which was really specific. Also less time consuming.
3. What made you choose Heart Invites and were you pleased with the service and final products received?
We contacted more than 30 stationery companies across the UK over 2 months. Our aim was not only to get the best quote but also to find a person who we could connect with and who would understand what we were looking for. It is very interesting to know that not many people could accommodate our request and they were either too expensive or simply said to us that they would take more time or we couldn’t feel connected with them.
We were so happy when Lauren replied to our initial query, not only did we love her previous stationery work but her quote was more affordable also she sounded so friendly over the phone and very accommodating. I personally knew as our request was so specific that we would need to work with someone like Lauren. Lauren is so creative in heart, smart, so kind to accommodate our requests and being patient and understanding and at the same time professional. Lauren made our wishes come true and that is just the truth :)
We must say not only were we pleased but we were super excited when we received the products as we didn’t want them to get them lost or damaged for the wedding :). All our friends and family admired the wedding stationery and since then they have asked for the contact details of the Heart Invites from us. We have framed our table plan and table names as memories of our special day.
4. If you could give one piece of advise to any couples planning their wedding what would it be?
Keep calm, plan ahead and never give up.
Andres & Farnoosh also had their kent wedding filmed by the very talented Talking Fly who have captured the day beautifully for a lasting memory of their day. For a true sense of this pretty wedding watch the video below!
Thank you Andres and Farnoosh for sharing your incredibly beautiful day with us! Congratulations to you both and all the best for your future together!
