1. What was the overall look and feel you wanted to achieve for your wedding?
We had so many ideas swimming through our head when we started planning and eventually we took the decision to merge them together! With it being a church wedding we wanted the day to be somewhat traditional. The reception was actually held in a marquee at the family home and this allowed us to control the day, making sure it was relaxed and fun! It was important to let our personality show through. I really wanted a vintage feel with a hint of fairytale as I wanted to feel like a princess on her wedding day, while the most important thing for Jonathan was to have a magician. To make the day interactive we had a quiz, and also asked our photographer to set up a photobooth for the evening.
2. Why did you opt for professional stationery over DIY?
One of the main factors was of course time. We really wanted a professional look and someone who could bring our own ideas to life and we knew we would only find that with professional stationery.
3. What made you choose Heart Invites and were you pleased with the service and final products received?
We found Heart Invites in a wedding magazine and were immediately blown away by the quality of their work. Our initial contact with Lauren convinced us to use her as she was prompt, helpful and very open to working with us on our ideas. We have to say we were delighted with the end result.
4. If you could give one piece of advice to any couples planning their wedding what would it be?
The most important thing is to relax, don’t sweat the small stuff. As long as you are both there and your guests are fed and watered nothing else really matters. It will turn out to be fine. Remember to enjoy the day and try to take in as much as you can as it comes and goes so quickly. A good photographer/videographer is vital as it is your opportunity to capture those precious memories and it also allows you to see parts of the day that may have past you by.
It was a pleasure working with Maria on her collection of stationery and I am sure you will agree it looked like they had a fabulous day. I would just like to say a massive congratulations to Maria and Jonathon on the birth of their little baby Annie who was born just before Christmas – wonderful news! :-)
