I recently had the pleasure of creating on-the-day wedding stationery for local couple Laura & Tom who married at a cute little church in Goodnestone near their home, followed by a charming country reception close by at Goodnestone Park.
The beautiful photography of this country tipi wedding is by David Fenwick. David has some stunning portfolios on his website so be sure to check them out if you are looking for a photographer!
Laura has taken the time to give us a little insight into the ideas behind her big day at the end of the blog so read on to seek some advice for your own big day!
1. What was the overall look and feel you wanted to achieve for your wedding?
We wanted to have a country/rustic feel to the whole wedding, living in the countryside ourselves. I wanted to have an informal, relaxed feeling to the day and felt that all the different elements of the day, helped us to achieve this.
2. Why did you opt for professional stationery over DIY?
We opted for professional stationary, mainly due to time as we have a 10 month old baby so time is something we lack. We felt Heart Invites price was extremely reasonable too and totally worth it for all the time and effort it would have required for us to do it ourselves.
3. What made you choose Heart Invites and were you pleased with the service and final products received?
We chose a different design from another supplier for the invites and it turned out that some of the writing was very difficult to read so number one on our list was to be able to read everything with our next order for our ‘on-the-day’ stationary and yours definitely ticked that box. It also fitted well with our tipis, with the bunting and hessian runners and was very reasonably priced.
4. If you could give one piece of advise to any couples planning their wedding what would it be?
My advice would be ensure you find out exactly what is and isn’t included in a quote from a supplier and do you research, ask for a sample of whatever it is they are supplying and check you are happy with the product.
