1. What was the overall look and feel you wanted to achieve for your wedding?
We really wanted our personalities to shine through our theme for the wedding. We chose to have sunflowers as the theme and main flower as first of all it’s my favourite flower, and the thing we loved about them the most is that the are very bold and bright, which made it feel more like summer. The weather was beautifully hot and sunny too, and everyone commented on how the sunflowers worked so well.
I also love lace – I think its a romantic and very elegant material which was also what we were aiming for the day – an elegant feel.
We were in a long distant relationship for a while before we got married, so it was important that we incorporated that into our wedding day too as it was a big part of our relationship.
2. Why did you opt for professional stationery over DIY?
We were originally going to make our own stationery as I’ve got a slight passion for crafts myself, however we wanted a specific ticket design (which incorporated the long distance travelling) so we researched into wedding stationery companies as I didn’t think we were that advanced in arts and crafts to be able to pull off the tricky design.
3. What made you choose Heart Invites and were you pleased with the service and final products received?
We wanted the ticket design for our stationery and it was quite a difficult design to pull off, especially while maintaining the classy and wedding-feel. On the internet we came across quite a few companies who could supply ticket style stationery. However Heart Invites were definitely top quality and the prices were very reasonable. Lauren was also brilliant, very helpful and flexible in the design and did all she can to produce the stationery that I asked for. We were very excited about the finished product and so happy we went with Heart Invites.
4. If you could give one piece of advice to any couples planning their wedding what would it be?
HAVE FUN IN THE PLANNING (& let him have some input).
Planning a wedding can be so stressful, but the best advice I can give is to just chill – Everything will work out in the end.
Let your husband-to-be have some input in the planning – My husband’s idea was to have the ticket style stationery. I would never have thought about that myself and was actually surprised that he came up with such a unique and brilliant idea.
