I am so pleased to share this truly beautiful wedding with you. Amy got in touch early in the year to order her wedding invites with me from my ‘Hydrangea Courtyard’ collection (currently my most popular design!), I just love the soft colour scheme of the pastel blue and pink. I was thrilled when Amy returned to me more recently to order matching wedding stationery to compliment the theme of their special day. I am sure you will agree that the attention to detail in this country wedding is simply stunning and it couldn’t have been captured better than by photographer Chris Milner. If you are still on the hunt for a wedding photographer and live in the Yorkshire area you must check out his portfolio. There is something a little different and very special about his photography style. Enjoy!
1. What was the overall look and feel you wanted to achieve for your wedding?
We wanted a small, intimate wedding that felt personal with a vintage, country feel to it. We wanted everyone to just feel relaxed all day, and it was important for us that we had little personal touches to remember those who couldn’t be with us on our special day. Everything from the venue to the flowers and my jewellery all meant something special to us and our families.
2. Why did you opt for professional stationery over DIY?
We knew the look we wanted to create and wanted it to have a professional finish that tied everything together perfectly. We looked at a few different sites and once we received our sample from Lauren at Heart Invites we knew we had made the right choice.
3. What made you choose Heart Invites and were you pleased with the service and final products received?
From receiving our sample to our finished products, Lauren was an absolute star and just understood the way we wanted everything. Heart Invites went above and beyond to make everything so perfect for us even sourcing a photo backdrop that matched the rest of our stationery. Everyone commented on our invitations, the table numbers and menu cards, our backdrop and table plan and said how beautiful they all worked with the rest of our decorations. For us having professional stationery wasn’t just about having perfect invitations; the whole of our stationery blended seamlessly with everything including our flowers, table decorations, centre pieces, chair covers and the whole colour scheme.
4. If you could give one piece of advise to any couples planning their wedding what would it be?
Our advice to any couple planning their wedding would be to take time to smell the roses. I’m sure every newlywed couple will tell you how quick the day goes, as everyone did with us, but take time out of the day to soak up the atmosphere, look around you and enjoy your day making wonderful memories.
I really hope you have enjoyed this real country wedding post and that you have picked up a tip or two from Amy’s mini-interview! If you are looking for wedding stationery to set off your big day please do get in touch and I will be very happy to discuss wedding stationery options to tie in with your own wedding theme.
