When Jess got in touch last year to see if I could create a bespoke wedding stationery design for her Florida wedding, I was absolutely over the moon! Creating bespoke designs is always fun but even more so for a destination wedding.
With the wedding taking place so far away it was important to Jess that her guests had plenty of notice to get their wedding date in the diary and book their flights. So I designed some Save the Date luggage tags for her and Andy which was a fun idea to excite their guests for their Florida wedding and to make them different to the invitations that would follow. Jess opted for a gold foil print on the design to add a touch of luxury and a playful pink a white striped twine for the tags. I loved the bold use of colour within the final design which reflected their tropical wedding destination. Of course I chucked in a couple of en vogue pink flamingoes too to really set the scene!!
The tropical theme ran throughout their wedding stationery, with postcard style wedding invitations also featuring gold foil and lots of on-the-day stationery including menus, tags, stickers, table plan cards and more!
I have been lucky enough to get my hands on some of Jess & Andy’s beautiful Florida wedding photos as well as having a little chat with Jess about her stationery and the wedding day itself. Keep scrolling!
WHAT WAS THE OVERALL LOOK YOU WERE TRYING TO ACHIEVE FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY?
The look we wanted was tropical, holiday, Florida (but not obvious) and fun but not tacky!
We chose bespoke as we didnt want to have the same as anyone else, our day was unique so we wanted the stationary to be unique too. I had the idea in my head so ‘off the shelf’ wouldn’t have worked for us.
Our day was perfect, our friends and family all on the beach in Florida! We felt so lucky and happy! Walking down the aisle to the steel drum music and seeing everyone there was amazing! The whole day was fun and relaxed!
SOME KIND WORDS FROM JESS…
We would recommend Lauren to anyone looking for high quality stationery. We had so many little touches not just the invites! Everything from tags on our favours, lyric quotes on the fans for our guests, stickers we used on takeaway bags for our cake….nothing went unnoticed by our guests and many were kept as keepsakes! We had all these ideas that were perfectly created for our day!
My dress was from Jeska at the Bridal Boutique of Jolues in Deal. (She is amazing) Our table runners were home-made, we married at The Sandbar in Anna Maria, Florida (venue on the beach and amazing food!) cake was by ‘Cakes by Ron’ in Sarasota (he made our cake from a picture I drew!) Erin Danille was our photographer, music was Rythm Trail steel band..
I’m sure you will agree, Jess & Andy did an incredible job of achieving the wedding of their dreams. Their attention to detail was incredible and it was an absolute pleasure to have been able to work on their wedding stationery from start to finish.
