Considering opting for a bespoke wedding stationery design for your big day? If the answer to that question is yes, take a little read of today’s post sharing the bonus’ of going bespoke with your wedding stationery. I have also shared some examples of previous bespoke designs I have worked on…
Firstly, whilst there is absolutely nothing wrong with choosing an off-the-peg design for your wedding stationery, there is something to be said for having a bespoke design created just for you. Perhaps you want your personalities to shine through in your invitations, your passions and interests as a couple or you want your invites to be a true representation of the wedding day you have spent hours, days, weeks and months meticulously planning. If so, then bespoke wedding stationery is the ideal way to achieve this. Knowing that your wedding stationery is a one off creation that hasn’t been used by any other couple before is something pretty special and will make a beautiful keep-sake of your wedding day forever.
My bespoke wedding stationery design service offers a very personal one-to-one approach. Offering free consultations via email, phone or a meeting at my home if you are local to discuss your stationery needs.
Bespoke Wedding Stationery Ideas
Here are a few bespoke designs I have worked on previously. You will see that the design styles vary a lot and can be adjusted to a customers personal preference.
Created for Candy and Dale who get married in Cyprus this year. The Passports are in a booklet style with matching RSVP boarding passes. I just love this idea! What could excite your wedding guests more, than seeing a pretty pink passport arrive in the post asking them to join you in a gorgeous aboard destination?!
Adam and Justin took inspiration from their favourite musical Legally Blonde for their wedding at The Corinthia in London. Their bespoke wedding stationery was based around the Westend signage replacing ‘Legally Blonde’ with ‘Legally Wed’ as same sex marriage had just become legal in the UK. Here is what Adam and Justin had to say about their experience working with me on their bespoke stationery:
“Lauren’s designs were absolutely fantastic – she completely got what we were trying to achieve and far exceeded our expectations with her speed of service and responsiveness. The printed output that was delivered was of such high quality – we were thoroughly impressed with the entire experience from start to finish. We couldn’t recommend Heart Invites highly enough.
Pocket fold wedding invites aren’t something I had worked with prior to this bespoke wedding stationery request, as the majority of my wedding work is design and print based. But when I was approached to create these monochrome beauties for a Lauren and David who marry in Dubai at The One & Only this year I thought I would try something different and they turned out beautifully. Supplied with white boxes, black and white striped tissue paper and 3 additional info card inserts in each pocket-fold they created the luxury and classic feel requested by my client.
Rachael and Ashley planned a festival inspired wedding at the beautiful The Night Yard in Canterbury, Kent. They came to me for a festival inspired ‘Order of the Day’ to be handed out at their wedding in a lanyard format for their guest to wear throughout the day. Cute touch!
Jess and Andy marry in Florida this year and asked me to create tropical inspired luggage tag Save the Dates and invites to match. The brief was, bright, bold and tropical with a touch of gold. I created these designs printed with gold foil for that extra bit of ‘special’. Printing finishes such as gold foil do cost extra but they are possible if a customer wants to pay to have them included. Please do not hesitate to ask if I can use a print finish of your choice on your own stationery.
Bride Kat wanted her wedding stationery to be the perfect representation of her and her partner’s love of travel and their beloved VW Camper. They wanted to have caricatures of themselves designed for the invite design which I designed in Illustrator along with a replica of their VW. This is quite far removed from my normal design style for wedding stationery and I have to say I had a lot of fun creating this design. To see the full wedding view their Real Wedding blog post here.
Here is what Kat had to say about the bespoke design service she received:
“We chose Lauren because we liked her design style. Throughout the process we were really pleased with the service we received. Lauren understood our design concept and what we wanted, she was always very fast and organised, and we were always excited to see her final ideas. We love the final products because they are so personal and tell our unique story. Our on the day the stationary helped tie everything together.”
Bride Farnoosh had a strong floral theme running throughout her day. This beautiful Welcome Sign incorporates flowers individually designed in Illustrator to create their design. Farnoosh ordered table names, menu cards, signage and more. To see the full collection of bespoke stationery and Farnoosh’s wedding, visit their Real Wedding blog post here.
What Farnoosh had to say:
“I just wanted to thank you again for your great and precious job on our bespoke wedding stationery. They were absolutely stunning and exactly what we were after.”
Finally, Adele came to me with my first request for the classic Wonka Bar design. Who wouldn’t smile at a large bar of chocolate turning up with a wedding invite?! With a golden ticket inside and an evening invite designed to match!
Adele shared these kind words:
“What can I say other than you’re amazing Lauren! Thank you so much for all of our amazing, brilliant and wonderful stationery. All of it was brilliant and exceeded my expectations everytime. It’s not an easy task trying to create someone’s ideas from inside their head but Lauren you did it brilliantly! Would throughly recommend to anyone thinking of using Heart Invites for their stationery. Worth every penny. Thanks once again. Mr & Mrs Morrison x”
